Repair, setup, cleanup, and practical advice

What I can help with

Bring the symptoms. I will find the cause.

Most people do not know whether the problem is software, hardware, malware, or age. That is the point of the diagnostic.

Slow or freezing

Startup taking forever, apps hanging, fans running hard, or a machine that feels older than it should.

Viruses and scam pop-ups

Browser hijacks, fake warnings, suspicious extensions, and malware cleanup with basic protections afterward.

Will not start or keeps crashing

No power, blue screens, boot loops, random shutdowns, failing drives, and other problems that need real troubleshooting.

Parts and upgrades

SSD speed upgrades, memory, batteries, screens, and practical advice on whether an upgrade is worth it.

Files, backup, and migration

Recover what is recoverable, move files to a new computer, and set up backups so the next failure is less stressful.

New computer setup

Accounts, email, printers, files, browser bookmarks, and settings transferred without turning setup day into a chore.

Simple repair pricing

You approve the cost before the work begins.

The diagnostic visit is $49 and is credited toward the repair if you proceed. Parts are billed at cost, and I will tell you when replacement makes more sense than repair.

Best first step

$49 diagnostic

I check the device, identify the likely fix, and give you a clear repair recommendation. If you approve the repair, that $49 goes toward the job.

Slow Computer Tune-up $99 Clean out clutter, optimize startup, and improve day-to-day speed.
Virus & Malware Cleanup $129 Remove pop-ups, spyware, hijackers, and suspicious browser changes.
New PC Setup & Migration $129 Set up the new computer and move files, bookmarks, and settings.
SSD Speed Upgrade $149 + parts Replace a slow drive with an SSD and clone your existing system.
Battery / Memory Replacement $79 + parts Install a new laptop battery or upgrade memory for smoother use.
Data Recovery & Backup From $149 Recover accessible files and set up a practical backup plan.

Prices cover common repair scenarios. Liquid damage, severe drive failure, board-level repair, or rare parts may need a custom quote or a specialist referral.

While I am at it

Same practical help for the rest of the house.

If the issue is not just the computer, I can still help with the common pieces that make home tech frustrating.

Personal email help

Dead zones, slow rooms, router placement, and practical network cleanup.

Smart home setup

Cameras, doorbells, smart plugs, speakers, and app-based setup done carefully.

Common questions

Plain answers before you hand over the device.

What if the computer is not worth fixing?

I will tell you. The diagnostic is meant to keep you from spending money on a repair that does not make sense.

Do you provide the parts?

I can help identify the right part and order it, but hardware parts are billed to you at cost. No markup hidden in the repair.

Can you come to me?

Sometimes. On-site visits make sense for WiFi, printers, smart home devices, and setup issues tied to the location. Deeper laptop or desktop repair is usually better as a drop-off.

Do you offer emergency or 24/7 repair?

No formal 24/7 repair desk. I handle this work in evenings and weekends around my full-time schedule, and urgent requests get the next practical opening.

Can you recover my files?

If the drive is readable, I can usually help recover and move files. Severe physical drive failure may need a specialist data recovery lab, and I will say so before you spend more.
